An intensive 4-day course on VEX V5 robot construction, programming, and preparation for the VEX Robotics Competition. Participants will build robots, program them, and then learn about the 2019-2020 VRC robotics competition. The participant will learn enough to start teaching VEX V5 EDR construction and programming to students.


Cost of course includes one VEX V5 Starter kit with Vision Sensor for each participant to take with them.

Includes V5 Classroom Starter Kit (P/N 276-6500) and VEX Vision Sensor (P/N 276-4850) total value of $669.98, which the participant will take home after the course.

Prerequisite

None, although some experience in programming would be helpful

Continuing Education

Working with Washington state for 26 teacher clock hours. Teachers from other states will receive documentation of completion.

Logistics

  • Participants should bring their own computer – either Windows 7 or higher, or MacOS with Chrome installed and at least one USB port. Notebook computers are fine, but no iPads or Android tablets.
